Please share the name and reason for the prayers; however, feel free to request anonymous prayers as well. Our prayer chain requests are not limited to just parishioners, anyone can join our circle of prayers!
To request your loved one be added to the prayer chain, call the office at 419-629-2543.
As a community, we lift up and support one another in prayer.
To provide this prayer and support our parish community has a prayer chain that prays for the request including the spiritual healing of the person. Spiritual healing affects the soul and eternal salvation. Prayer requests are given to the chain leader, which calls the next person on the prayer circle and waits until the last one calls them back. (Confidentiality is essential)
Those praying daily, act as intercessors that believe in the healing power of Jesus today. They believe that our prayers work. Several forms of prayer may be said on behalf of your loved one which include: Novenas, the Rosary, spontaneous prayer, offering your work or trials up, receiving the Eucharist, visualizing prayer, fasting, reading scripture or prayers of thanks and praise. We invite anyone that would like to help pray and be intercessors to call Pat Bensman at 419-629-2406.
Why do we need to pray?
Because prayer is the means God has ordained for some things to happen. Prayer, for instance, helps others know the love of Jesus. Prayer can clear human obstacles out of the way in order for God to work. It is not that God can't work without our prayers, but that He has established prayer as part of His plan for accomplishing His will in this world.
Prayer Gives us Power Over Evil
Can physical strength help us overcome obstacles and challenges in the spiritual realm? No, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 6:12). But in prayer even the physically weak can become strong in the spiritual realm. As such, we can call upon God to grant us power over evil.
Prayer Strengthens the Bonds Between Believers
Prayer not only strengthens our relationship with God, but when we pray with other believers, prayer also strengthens the bonds between fellow Christians.
Prayer Keeps us Humble Before God
Humility is a virtue God desires in us. Prayer reminds us that we are not in control, but God is, thus keeping us from pride.
